"Into The Wind"
American Kestrel
The most common Falcon
in the Western Hemisphere and also the smallest. The Kestrel ranges from
Alaska and New Brunswick to the Strait of Magellan. Commonly known as the
Sparrow Hawk, it feeds on small birds, mammals, insects and reptiles, often
hovering to locate its prey.
This sculpture
is depicting a young Kestrel that the artsit had the fortune to witness
perfecting his landing techniques in a strong wind. It is finely crafted
from aluminum and has a full compliment of individual feathers. The bird
is mounted on a striking natural wood base. Like all of Daniel's sculptures,
this is a hand crafted one of a kind original. Purchase includes a letter
