Black Crowned Night Heron
This Heron is easily
identified by its bright red eyes and the two long, white, nuchal plumes.
It is a resident of wetlands in North and South America, Eurasia, Africa,
and the East Indies. As its name implies, it prefers to feed at night.
According to legend, the 10th-century Emperor, Daigo, of Japan was so
pleased with the beauty of this heron that he appointed it with rank to
his Royal Court.
This sculpture
is antentively crafted from aluminum and is mounted on a piece of natural
wood with an unbreakable polycarbon base that gives the illusion of water.
It has a full compliment of individual feathers. Like all of Daniel's sculptures,
this is a hand crafted one of a kind original. Purchase includes a letter
of authenticity signed by the artist.
