Elegant Tern
Elegant Terns are coastal birds that range from california to as far south as Ecuador,
Peru and Chille. Though mated pairs spend much of the year apart they always reunite
during the nesting season. When they return to the mating grounds they call out to all
the other birds they meet untill they hear each others voice. They are strickly loyal
to each other and mate for life. Once they find each other they are very attentive and
doting throughout the nesting season. When the young are hatched and raised the pair parts
ways again untill next spring.
This sculpture is displayed in a sitting position, resting
upon a stone and is crafted from aluminum. A person could almost imagine
that he is looking longingly out to sea; searching at the begining of another
nesting season for his life long mate. Like all of Daniel's sculptures,
this is a hand crafted one of a kind original. Purchase includes a letter
