Northern Pigmy Owl Hunting
The Pygmy-Owl is one of the
most aggressive bird hunters of North America. On the edge of forests or desert
scrub, it takes small mammals, reptiles, large insects and
birds up to its own size and weight. It nests in hollow trees
or old woodpecker holes. While it will hunt any time of the
day or night, it seems to be most active at dusk and dawn.
This aluminum
sculpture is mounted on a natural sage branch with an unbreakable
poly-carbon base. The bird has a full compliment of individual feathers.
This bird is depicted hunting and the piece includes a sculpture of a mouse.
Like all of Daniel's sculptures, this is a hand crafted one of a kind original.
Purchase includes a letter of authenticity signed by the artist.
